The faithful departed

When searching through the Yahoo! Movies website, I noticed something pretty crazy. There are only 8 movies that have been given an overall rating of A by the Yahoo! users. IN THE HISTORY OF MOVIES! Only 8. Actually, they are all A-. There are no A's or A+'s. That's a pretty tough rating system.

So when a movie comes out and it gets an A- from the Yahoo! users, go see it. As soon as you possibly can. Seriously, look at this list.

The Shawshank Redemption
Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
The Godfather
Star Wars
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Departed
Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

I guess what I'm trying to say is go see “The Departed”. It's awesome. It’s a little on the long side, but definitely worth the ass pain caused by the movie theater seats.

I’d have to say that I was slightly disappointed when I walked out of the theater. Due to all the hype, I expected to be watching the most amazing movie ever made, so I was let down a little. It’s not the best movie ever made, but it’s been literally 5 days since I saw it and I can't stop thinking about it. I want to see it again. I can't wait for the DVD. There are some really cool scenes that I need to see again. Can you tell I want to see it again?

On the flip side, there is only 1 movie given an F rating by the Yahoo! users. Can you guess which movie? It involves Ben Affleck. Ok, maybe that doesn't help.

It's Gigli. Was it really that bad? I don't know, I wouldn't waste my time with that crap. Apparently it's worse than Baby Geniuses 2 (D-), Home Alone 4 (D), and Battlefield Earth (D). Now that's pretty bad. I almost want to see it now. Definitely worthy of a Mystery Science Theater session.

More beer stuff

Pumpkin Beer #2 is on the way. This time I cut up a real pumpkin instead of using the canned stuff. This proved to be a pain in the ass, but hopefully it was worth it. Right now the beer is safely fermenting in my apartment as I speak.

I realized that by adding a slice of orange to my Hefe' that I listed at #7 below, it actually tastes pretty good. I tried a lemon slice, but that made it way too sour. Imagine Blue Moon with no head. That's how it turned out. It's not bad, but I must have done something wrong at bottle time. I probably should have listed it as #5 or 6 instead of 7.

Ice Fest 2007... skating, fishing and drinking homebrews out on Lake Hopatcong. Can't miss right? As long as nobody falls through the ice, it can't miss.
