The best fans in the world... Sox fans!

I just found out that my two favorite baseball teams have the two most loyal fan bases in the MLB. Home attendance for the Red Sox is 100.9%, and 99.4% for the Cubs. Isn't that amazing? That's number 1 and 2 overall in the majors. What's even more satisfying is the sad 85.5% that the Yankees put up. Check out ESPN.com MLB Attendance if you don't believe me.

After everything the Sox & Cubbies fans have gone through. Watching their teams lose year after year, they still have the highest attendances. They still go out to support their team. The Yanks win a World Series every other year, but they can hardly fill their stadium. Granted, they have a much larger stadium than both Boston and Chicago, but there are also a lot more people in NYC. Plus, the Yanks have New Jersey as an added fan base. So no excuses. Oh, and forget about blaming the Mets for loss of fan base because Chicago has 2 teams as well.

So greatest fans in the world? No contest. The prize goes to Boston Red Sox fans with Chicago Cubs fans coming in a close second. Sorry Yankee fans, but you guys finish 8th.

Also, when did "The" stadium become Yankee Stadium? Since Yankee fans don't even go to games, I don't think they deserve that title anymore. From now on, when anyone mentions "The" stadium, I'm going to assume they mean Fenway. This is just to piss off my Yankee-fan friends.
