Good sign, bad sign

First the Good:

I'm pretty excited about the Red Sox winning the bidding war for the right to negotiate with Matsuzaka from Japan. I remember watching this guy in the WBC and no one could hit him. Anyone who throws in the high 90's and has 4 pitches will probably do well in the Majors. I see him struggling a little to start off because there will be a lot of pressure on him, but I'm already excited to see what happens. The Sox better sign him.

Now the Bad:

Seriously, Vinny Testaverde? That's a joke right? Over the last few years, whenever the Patriots played a team and Testaverde was the opposing quarterback, I knew the Pats would win. He makes a lot of plays, but he always kills his team when it matters most. He's like the anti-Brady. I would rather Matt Cassel gets a chance over Vinny. At least he was good enough to back up Palmer and Leinart at USC. Give the kid a chance. Don't count on grandpa Vinny to get the Pats anywhere.

I just looked up Cassel's bio on the official Patriots webpage, and I'm quite impressed. Looks like he was quite a baseball player. He played in the little league world series and he was actually drafted by the Oakland A's. Both of his brothers play minor league ball. At USC he had the highest GPA of all upperclassmen so he's a smart guy. He played some tightend, wide receiver and quarterback while at USC. Looks like the kid can do it all. Is he the new Brady? Let's get him in the game and find out!
