Almost Famous

With the recent deaths of Terri Schiavo and the Pope, nobody is talking about Mitch Hedberg.

Hedberg was absolutely hilarious. The people at the Howard Stern Show called him the next Seinfeld. They play his clips on XM 150 all the time and he’s definitely one of the more enjoyable stand-up acts I’ve ever heard. He says stuff like:

“My friend asked me if I wanted a frozen banana, I said "No, but I want a regular banana later, so, Yeah."

“My roommate says, "I'm going to take a shower and shave, does anyone need to use the bathroom?" It's like some weird quiz where he reveals the answer first.”

“I once saw a forklift lift a crate of forks. And it was way too literal for me.”

“An escalator can never break. It can only become stairs.”

And his act just goes on and on, each one-liner more random than the next.

Hedberg died last Wednesday due to an apparent heart condition (he was also a known drug user).
